Boon of the Angel

Necessity is the mother of invention, consistency is the mother of blogging.Unfortunately I don't have both.

It takes lot of time to untie the cables of memory, hence I decided to get a cup of coffee.

In college we never understood that."The more you study, the bigger zero you were" was the tagline for every backbencher like me.However you can really dump your taglines when your job is in stake.

88 out of 100.It was really a tough target.Especially when you have a reputation of 12 out of 100 in the first one.

I was sitting in the tea shop. Some guys were discussing on the expeling policy. It was irritating and fearsome for me.That very moment I left the place.

-"Hey!what happened?Havn't slept last night or what??" -Komal asked me looking at my haggard condition.
-"Sort of.What about your DBMS?"
-"I saw you coming out of Tea Shop in a gust. What happened?"
-"Nothing.They were eating tandoori in front of a Chicken.Same old topic.Expelling policy"
-"Oh!cut the crap.People are over burdened. You know in the Last batch only one Guy was extended. No expulsion. He got a second chance and that too he cleared easily"
I never really expected that. The last good news had came to me in January in the form of a joining letter. The second one was better than that.
-"What!!!!!-I was dumbstruck."Could you please clarify??"
-"Yeah pretty simple, all you have to do is stay away from the bottom two percent, and you are safe. They will send the bottom two in extension, not expulsion".

I rubbed my eyes in utter disbelief.I was able to spot a halo around Komal's face.
It really feels good when you can see a chopper in a flooded place.I could see the marooned and the chopper.
DBMS was the only subject which had rescued me in my campus interview. It was still playing its role in the Big Campus. It was there in the syllabus.

I explained her the normalization.Theoretically, normalization reduces the effect of dependencies, but here it kept on increasing, because answering a girl's question properly was highly dependent on the amount of concept you have on the subject.

I could spot her smile while solving a question herself on DBMS.

The big day came.It was a fight between my past and my present to extirpate the black spots of my carrier.

I called Maa.She never knew what is happening here. She assured me that I will do good.

It was the time to eradicate the anguishment.

The timer started reducing.I started marking. The timer stopped.A white page headed SCORE appeared infront of me.

-"Hey,I knew you can?"- Komal told.

-"Thanks.But how?"

-"I had never seen you in library before the first exam".

-"Haah haah! But do you know the real cause behind this??"

-"What??"-she asked with curiosity.

-"Nothing!I saw an angel and she gave me a boon,Bye."

The cell phone was showing "Ma Calling".The son received. The happy and proud son said -"Maa! hoye gache!!!"(done it!!!!).

I got 63.

I was far ahead from the bottom two percent.I cleared the first phase.

"Hey Deva!congrats man!! Be ready for a new place. We are going to have second phase in four different cities,They are dividing this batch" - The Lost sailor said.

-"Whattttt the ****???????,Why?"

You call it luck.I call it Destiny.

  1. Luck and Destiny! Goes for a toast. Not much different from JLN's "Tryst with Destiny"
I always feel luck and destiny is like the circular linked list with body attached to head and head attached to body.....
